The Beagle Authority exists to be the most complete and honest resource on the beagle breed — the guide we wished existed when we brought home our first baying, fence-testing, counter-surfing hound. We cover the whole picture: the joy and the reality.
Editorial standards
- Expertise & experience. Our guides draw on hands-on experience with the breed and interviews with owners, trainers, and rescues.
- Veterinary sources. Health content is researched from veterinary literature and reputable clinical sources, which we cite. We are adding named veterinary review; once an article is reviewed it will show the reviewing veterinarian and the review date.
- Sourced claims. We cite primary sources — breed clubs, veterinary literature, and the rescues themselves — and link out to them.
- Honest recommendations. Product picks are based on genuine research and testing. We disclose affiliate relationships clearly on every page that has them.
- Kept current. Pages show a “last updated” date and are revised as guidance changes.
